Sometimes small steps are all we need to start our journey back to health and this is why I trained as a Nutritional Therapist; I love nothing more than helping people on this journey and supporting them along the way.

Hi and welcome

I'm Lisa, a mother, teacher and registered nutritional therapist living in Worcester.

My health and nutrition journey started young; even at the age of seven I had a passion for good food and helping people to be healthy. By 17 I had big dreams for life and I went off to study nutrition and health sciences at university. It wasn’t until I became a mother that I fully and wholeheartedly embraced a healthy lifestyle and understood my true calling and purpose.

With the birth of my son came a real awakening, where I fully understood why being a parent is both the best and worst job all rolled into one. I had postnatal depletion and could barely drag myself through the day and yet managed to read and research everything I could get my hands on to understand why my son had so much digestive stress and severe eczema. This led me to nutritional therapy and a whole new outlook and career.

With some dietary and lifestyle changes my son's symptoms started to disappear and, as an added bonus, I too began to heal from my PCOS, endometriosis, skin problems, and adrenal and thyroid issues, and as a result I had a completely different pregnancy and recovery on the second time round. It’s not surprising that this experience is what ignited my passion and interest in female health, pregnancy and children's wellbeing - that, and my total love of reading, learning, and food. I also have a fascination with hormones and the total wonder, design genius, simplicity and complexity that is the female body. Oh, and I love kids.

I’ve come to see my initial struggle with motherhood and health as a gift, an opportunity to learn and grow, reprioritise, reassess and take action, but above all else it has led me to here, a place where the most wonderful women and parents arrive to see me full of hope and determination and an amazing amount of love that inspire me every day to keep seeking so I can further help others. I consider myself so lucky that I get to work with mothers and children and walk beside them on their healing journey.

As parents, our job is immense, from morning until night we dry tears, listen, negotiate, support, clean, nourish and nurture, giving every ounce of ourselves to our little ones in their season of childhood. Seeing so many amazing parents walk through my door gives me purpose each day, and confirms that sometimes the best things in life start with a decision - a decision to try a different approach.
